Using ICDL Program to Enhance Students Skills on Computer Applications in Sudanese Universities

Abstract
ABSTRACT ICDL is the world's leading computer skills program. Today more than 14 million people have involved with the ICDL program, in over 150 countries, through ICDL network of over 24,000 ICDL Accredited test centers. ICDL is open to anyone regardless of age, gender, education, experience or background. Each ICDL module provides a practical program of up-to-date skills and knowledge areas which are valid.One should passa test before awarding the ICDL certificate. The present study was conducted to investigate the effect of ICDL program to develop students' skills in Sudanese Universities. Data which were collected through the questionnairewere analyzed by using SPSS to obtain the required result.The sample size which participated in the study was 290. The results of the paper supported the suggestions of ICDL to build and develop the Sudanese Universitiesstudents' skills in the use of computer applications.
