SCIENTIFIC FOUNDATIONS FOR THE STUDY OF THE MACRO-LEVEL SOCIOCULTURAL ENTITIES AND THE LONG-TERM SOCIOCULTURAL PROCESSES

The main topic of this work ? the macro-level sociocultural phenomena and the long-term sociocultural processes. This topic is specified in its object, which is the phenomenon of civilization considered in the process of its historical development. The subject of the research is the process of development of a scientific approach to the study of the phenomenon of civilization, and its goal ? the development of fundamentals of the scientific study of the phenomenon of civilization. As a result, a number of scientific approaches to the important sociocultural problems of the modern times have been proposed, as well as theoretical and methodological fundamentals of two new scientific fields have been developed ? the ”civilizational science” and the “philosophy of civilization”.
