Abstract
On the example of features of poetic syntax in the Brodsky's poem “Sreten'e” (1972) and its English translation one of the ways for the overcoming of strength of the linguistic material has been considered in the article. The poet uses enjambement as the mechanism of creation of original poetic intonation that remains in the translated text
