Abstract
The author analyses the morphometric and structural changes of cardiac walls in early postnatal ontogenesis. This article considers the investigation of walls of the left and right atriums and ventricles; the investigation of blood vessels of the cardiac wall of a rat. The results of research show the following: the thickness of atrium and ventricles walls of heart of a rat continuously changes throughout postnatal ontogenesis during various age periods of ontogenesis. Arterioles, capillaries, venules and sinusoids present the vessels of the atrium and ventricles walls; they are in most cases in a subepicardial layer.
