Abstract
The article reveals the role of verbal aggression in newspaper texts. Speech aggression is the means of verbal manipulation of recipient conscience. The author underlines the influence of verbal aggression on the verbal social environment and the risk of loss of human control over the modern communication due to the verbal aggression, presented by lexical and discursive means and memes (pseudo-events).
