YAROSLAVL MAIOLICA AS A TRADITIONAL CRAFT AND TOURISM RESOURCE

The object of research is Yaroslavl maiolica. The research subject covers the areas of application of the traditional craft as a tourism resource. The goal of research is to examine Yaroslavl maiolica as a traditional craft and a tourism resource and to suggest options of its use in tourism. The histo-ry of maiolica origination and establishment has been studied, resource possibilities have been analysed and possible aspects of maiolica use as tourism resource have been explored. The work resulted in the project of excursion program called “Yaroslavl maiolica: earthen miracle”. The main directions of traditional craft use as tourism resource are specified.
