Abstract
The article deals with the development possibilities of metasubject gnitive general educational actions of students. The main criteria of formation of metasubject cognitive skills are allocated. They are the content and quality of actions carried out, awareness and their fullness. The results of studying the formation of metasubject cognitive skills of students ? the future Geography teachers are presented. At students, the skills are not formed in generalized form, understool as general cognitive skills, which decreases the readiness to forming cognitive general educational actions for pupils.
