Abstract
In article the state of the human rights and freedoms in the CIS countries after dissolution of the Soviet Union, policy of the CIS for human rights is considered. The main objectives, tasks, solutions of problem of protection of human rights and freedoms generally and the Russian-speaking population in particular, defined in documents of the CIS, are revealed, some results of work on protection of the rights, causes of infringement of the rights in a number of
the countries, a role of human rights organizations are analyzed.
