Abstract
The driving forces of development in the energy sector as a separate sphere of relationships existence concerning production, conversion, transportation and consumption of energy in all forms are considered. The concept of "energy process" and "energy transition" as a form of energy sphere is substantiated. Modern trends of energy sphere development are determined.
