Abstract
The article deals with the main features of flavonoids. The authors consider the history of description and studying vitamin P and definition of its complex structure and review three molecular mechanisms of flavonoid anti-oxidant action in biological systems. The article shows the research results of inhibition efficiency by flavonoids. The authors reach a conclusion that flavonoid metal complexes are efficient anion radical scavengers.
