Abstract
This article considers the issue of expeditious monitoring of pipeline wall dangerous defects. The methods of intrapipe monitoring, their requirements and disadvantages are analyzed. A new method of intrapipe monitoring, infrasonic defectoscopy is considered. The author points out the advantages of this method and its operating principle, and describes the algorithm of pipeline wall defects detection and localization.
