Abstract
In this article the tendencies of an educational inequality reproduction in Ukraine against transformation of the higher education in mass education are analyzed. Based on the analysis of empirical data the dynamics of educational opportunities inequality of representatives of Late Soviet and Post-Soviet cohorts is revealed. Higher education expansion in the independence period of Ukraine was not followed by alignment in educational chances, increase in educational opportunities of individuals irrespective of social origin.
