Abstract

The article deals with the brief analysis of terminology peculiarities of right-wing extremism in the modern German science. The right-wing extremism was found out to be an echo of fascism of the Second World War ? National Socialism. Right-wing extremism is widespread in Federal Republic of Germany in various parties and move- ments. In German historical and political science there are certain issues of defining what right-wing extremism is. These issues of terminology are caused by the lack of homogeneity of right-wing movement and disunity of its members due to the different ideological and organizational questions. In terms of history the notion of right-wing extremism appeared relatively recently in Germany, in the period of 1970s. Before that, politicians and scientists used another synonymous term. In the process of analysis, the notions of radicalism and extremism were determined as nonsynonymous due to their incompatibility. The author suggests two most precise definitions of right-wing extremism, revealing its main features. This study shows examples of the main right-wing extremism representatives taking an active part in political life of Germany.
