SCIENTIFIC SCHOOL ? RELIABILITY OF BUILDING STRUCTURES?: ACHIEVEMENTS AND PROSPECTS

The article contains the developed probabilistic method of structural reliability estimation. It takes account of the random loads and steel strength, loads joint action, specific character of work and failure of steel elements, nodes and the whole steel structure systems as well. On the base of the determined method the numerical reliability computations of a wide range of steel structures including crane girders, trusses, roof beams, columns and frames were realized. As a result some design coefficients for Codes improvement as well as the reduction of cost have been offered.
