Abstract
The design of the strength of normal cross section of centrally compressed reinforced concrete elements in normal sections was researched by means of extreme criterion within the bounds of deformation model on the basis of deformation model with extreme strength criterion. Descending part of the concrete stress-strain diagram was taken into account. Optimization and numerical methods were used. The influence of cross section form, concrete class and reinforcement percentage on the ultimate strain of cross section compressed part were researched.
