THE EFFECT OF SOIL CONDITIONS IN A PRIVATE BUILDING IN THE CITY OF CHERNIGOV

Building сonditions in Chernihiv are complicated. Most part the town is characterized by complex and unreliable for construction engineering and geological conditions. Dangerous geological and geotechnical processes are developed, specific soils are occurred, building on the slopes and near rivers is provided. These conditions are complicated by negative technogenic factors. The listed conditions of construction indicate the need of especially careful engineering-geological approaches. The aim is to study the characteristics of soils in Chernihiv and their behavior during construction. The choice of foundation design depending on soil type are considered.
