Abstract

Results of observations for moistening and drying of lichen (Cladonia), moss (Hylocomium, Aulacomnium, Sphagnum) and litter forest floors are considered. Layer-specific character of moistening and drying is revealed. It is established that the layer-specific drying from the surface downward is similar between same type forest floors of various thickness.
