Abstract
The change of moral and ethical markers of the modern society happens under the influence of consumerism. It concerns not only the prevalence of material values over spiritual ones. Nowadays the principle of pleasure, actively promoted by the consumer society gets into lane with the quality and usefulness of goods and services. It results in deindividuation, lack of uniqueness of a person and the whole nation, the decay of society’s spiritual culture.
