Abstract
The article deals with the process of formation and development of law courts on the territory of medieval Belarus. Despite the fact, that in that period, the majority of law courts used unwritten and customary law, and there was no integral centralized judiciary system, statements concerning their structure and procedure became a basis of procedural rules and regulations reflected in Russkaya Pravda and Statutes of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The aim of this article is reflection of continuity of the modern judiciary systems of Belarus, Russia, Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine as it is impossible to create the modern efficient judiciary system not taking into account the origin of law
courts formation.
