PREFIXAL-POSTAFFIXAL CHARACTERISTIC TONES AS GRADATION EXPRESSION MEANS IN UKRAINIAN VERBS

The ar ticle is devoted to the research of prefixal-postaffixal characteristic tones на - + - ся, ви - + - ся, до - + - ся, з - (с - ) + - ся, у - (в - ) + - ся, об - (обі - ) + - ся, за - + - ся, роз - (розі - ) + - ся, при - + - ся, by means of which the gradation in modern Ukrainian is expressed. Lexemes are analyzed with the abovementioned formants, shades of meaning, that bring in the semantic structure of word, are determined.
