Abstract
In the presented article author analyses the process of formation of administrative justice in Ukraine. Besides, grounds for administrative justice formation are defined. In addition, the notion and content of the key stages in the process of administrative justice development are established. The author reveals a set of facts regarding a mechanism of legal regulation of the administrative justice system. Moreover, it is ascertained that in every administrative court’s decision there can be observed a true implementation of court powers concerning an enforcement of the rule of law, legal state, and protection of rights and freedoms of individuals. Finally, the article is aimed to characterize issues and ways of development of administrative justice at the contemporary stage over a period of court reforms in Ukraine. All the mentioned facts drives to the conclusion that it is necessary to preserve administrative courts as a separate link, primarily at the local level, due to the fact they proved their efficiency over extended period of functioning.
