Abstract
The article deals with the historical and legal aspects of development of Kazakh nationhood and its peculiarities. 2015 is 550th anniversary year of Kazakh Khanate formation, while 2016 marks 25th anniversary of formation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The current issues of independence, sovereignty and development of nationhood under these conditions received an impetus for being studied.
