SYMBOLIC AND SOCIAL ASPECTS OF PRACTICE FAMILY VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF IGUATU-CE

Analyzed in this study the construction and validation - whether practical or normative - symbols of male domination. We work with the concept of Symbolic Power and the concept of Male Domination sociologist Pierre Bourdieu. Treat the relationship of conjugal violence, with a ceário a small-city of Ceará hinterlands. In this perspective we bring symbols of domination of regional studies, addressing the country culture marked by symbols of virility and male strength. We have as input statistical data of Women's Police Stations in national, state and municipal levels. We work with the behavioral perspectives of man in situations of violence in the public sphere (the street) and in the private sphere (home), addressing the social causes of domestic violence versus legal standards protection to women.
