Abstract
The article discusses the issue of training managers of supplementary education centres, which is an integral part of a continuouing pedagogical education. The training performs tasks of improving the theoretical and practical knowledge and professional competence, of developing the manager’s creative potential and increasing pedagogical culture. The current conditions of education require to solve the problem of developing and improving the professional and pedagogical training of supplementary education centres managers. This is due to the change in the content of the supplementary education centres organization and methods of training and education of students.
These circumstances necessitate the organization of professional and pedagogical training under conditions of professional development of the supplementary education centers staff who do not have pedagogical education. Practice shows that formation and development of pedagogical competence of the supplementary education centres managers occur mainly during the professional devel-opment, contributing to creating conditions for further continuing self-education.
