Abstract

A wireless ad-hoc network is a decentralized type o f wireless network [7]. InVANET, or Intelligent Veh icular Ad-Hoc Networking, defines an intelligent way of us ing Vehicular Networking [7]. InVANET combines diff erent ad-hoc networking technologies for easy, accurate, effecti ve and simple communication between vehicles on dyn amic environment. Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks are expected to implement a variety of wireless technologies su ch as Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC) which i s a type of WiFi. Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks can be viewed as component of the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Therefore a VANET safety application is con sidered to represent a vital step to improving road safety and thereby increases traffic efficiency. In this pape r, we will discuss different approaches for detecting driver or drivin g behavior and alert them to the prevent road accid ents.
