THE ISSUE OF LEGAL TERMINOLOGY TRANSLATION IN THE MODERN KAZAKH LANGUAGE

This article is devoted to the translation of legal terminology in the modern Kazakh language, which has been a particularly acute issue faced by the Kazakh linguists and translators over the recent years following the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The terminology of legal sphere plays a fundamental role not only in terms of linguistics, but also from the viewpoint of jurisprudence. A correctly composed terminology database ensures a dialogue between the state and its citizens, which contributes to legal literacy of the latter.
