Abstract
The results of testing products obtained after thermal treatment of the furnace charge of wollastonite compound are provided. It is shown that a high thermal stability of raw granules is determined by a low water content in the structure of tobermorite and xonotlite. It is found that hydrated calcium silicates that serve as binding components form when raw granules are produced complying with fast firing requirements to obtain synthetic wollastonite.
