Abstract
The article presents the notion of universal learning activities (ULA) and reviews its role in the educational process. Based on the results of the study of ULA development peculiarities in preteens conducted by the authors, conclusions on the most and the least developed types of ULA are made and examples of their group and individual development routes are given.
