Abstract
Differences on fattening, meat and interior indicators in ewe lambs of Soviet Merino breed with different shares of thorough-breediness on Australian Meat Merino are revealed. It was found that with an increase in the proportion of thorough-breediness the sheep young differs in higher fattening qualities and meat productivity, and mutton is characterized by the better muscling of cuts and the smaller content of bones, so it is the most attractive to consumers and is in popular demand at the meat market.
