Abstract

Discusses the development of audiovisual technologies in the twentieth century, their distinctive features and trends of social and cultural dynamics. A hypothesis of competitive interaction between different types of technologies, especially noticeable in the current situation "demassification" culture. A model of competitive interaction based on the principles of requisite variety and information acceleration.
