Abstract

The present article deals with historical legal and organizational prerequisites for the establishment and development of institutions correctional and compulsory work in the system of alternatives to imprisonment of criminal penalties. It is noted the relevance and importance of the legal consolidation of the system of penalties and measures without isolation from society, the mechanism of their implementation so that they become a real alternative to imprisonment
