SEED GERMINATION OF MAIZE, DEPENDING ON THE STRUCTURE AND SIZE OF ENDOSPERM

This paper analyzes the properties of corn seeds that determine their ability to germinate. It is shown that the strong water absorption have a part of the aleurone layer and endosperm of maize seeds. The analysis showed that the different maize varieties do not absorb the same amount of water, and this process depends on the size of the seed.
