Abstract
In this paper, we mainly focus on the transmission of dengue fever with the aim of analyzing and comparing logistic and exponential curve that occurred in Lahore (Pakistan), in the year 2010?-2011. We obtain the force of infection, ?, from the real data of Lahore, and then computed the basic reproduction number, R0. Based on the analysis of the behaviour of R0, we show that the disease is epidemic in the region. We also compare the values of logistic fit and exponential approximation to find their relative percent error.
