AGENS VERBS LEXICAL-SEMANTIC GROUP OF "ABSORPTION"

In the article the problem of semantic actants in the subject field and the semantics of the verb "to devour" in constructions of modern Russian language. Given a large amount of factual material, indicating that the subjective sphere, the agent of the described situations can be persons, supernatural beings, animals and plants. The obtained results can find application in the practice of compiling dictionaries, and also of interest for the theory and practice of translation.
