Abstract
This article describes the results of a study of factors affecting the properties of ring yarn. Processing and kinematic factors identified in the course of the study include the size of the twisting triangle, the number of twists and the speed of the spindle. It was found that physical and mechanical properties of ring yarn are largely dependent on the arrangement of fibers in twisting triangle and the yarn tension, which in its turn depends on the rotational speed of the spindle.
