Abstract
The article considers the effect that the time of application of new high-efficiency herbicides has on biological activity of soil and yield of dry beans of Phaseolus with different nutrient statuses under conditions of mountains in the Republic of North Ossetia?Alania. It has been found that mineral fertilizers stimulate the vital activities of soil microorganisms and intensify biotransformation cycle of nutrients for plants, while herbicides exhibit inhibitory effect on cellulose-decomposing microorganisms which ultimately reduces cellulose decomposition intensity.
