Abstract
The article discusses the wedding song tradition of Western Buryats. In the system of wedding ceremonies rituals and accompanying wedding songs that are semantically related to the cult of fertility are of great importance. The genre varieties of Western Buryat wedding songs, such as songs of good wishes, sharing and others, are specified.
