Abstract
The article considers the linguistic situation in a region of the Republic of Altai. The analysis is conducted basing on the material of two latest censuses compared with the results of sociolinguistic expedition. The research results have shown the existence of Altai-Russian, Kazakh-Russian, Altai-Kazakh bilingualism and Altai-Russian-Kazakh trilingualism in Kosh-Agach region.
