Abstract
The purposes of this research were as follows: 1) to develop a teaching and learning manual for environmental economics and teaching and learning plans of integrated environmental economics for undergraduate students, Mahasarakham University, 2) to find the efficiency of a teaching and learning manual of integrated environmental economics for undergraduate students, Mahasarakham University in accordance with an 80/80 performance efficiency criterion , 3) to find an effectiveness index of learning and teaching with a teaching and learning manual for integrated environmental economics for undergraduate students, Mahasarakham University, and 4) to compare the knowledge regarding environmental economics , attitudes towards environmental conservation , and skills in environmental economics in both pre - and post - study in relation to environmental economics of undergraduates, Mahasarakham University. This research selected purposive samples of 63 undergraduate students (Faculty of Environment and Resources Studies, Mahasarakham University) who enrolled an environmental economics subject in 2014. Tools for research were a manual for environmental economics, teaching and learning plans for environmental economics, the knowledge test for environmental economics, the test for attitude measurement towards environmental conservation, and the test for skill measurement on environmental economics. Statistics for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, paired t-test, and ultimately the study finds that: 1. The teaching and learning manual of environmental economics consists of 11 chapters , teaching and learning plans were 11, and they were consistent with one another , such as environmental economics concept, demand and supply in economics, market system with resource allocation and environments, cost assessment and economics benefits, welfare economics , economics with fishery resources , economics with land resources, economics with forestry resources , economics with water resources, economics with environmental pollutions ,and economics with sustainability. 2. A teaching and learning manual for integrated environmental economics which were developed indicates the efficiency by 89.49/ 82.00. 3. An effectiveness index of the teaching and learning manual for environmental economics which were developed is 0.534, and it showed that undergraduates improve their study by 53.40 % after studying through a manual. 4. Undergraduate students who studied through a teaching and learning manual of integrated environmental economics gain knowledge regarding environmental economics, attitudes towards environmental conservation, and skills in environmental economics of post-study more than pre-study at significance (.05 level) To sum up, a teaching and learning manual for integrated environmental economics which was developed illustrates the efficiency appropriate for undergraduate students. Seeing that after employing the manual, they had more knowledge regarding environmental economics, attitudes to environmental conservation, and skills in environmental economics. Therefore, lecturers should be encouraged to employ a manual of teaching and learning processes for environmental education in bachelor’s degree continually..
