DEVELOPMENT OF CONTENT BASED IMAGE RETRIEVAL SYSTEM USING NEURAL NETWOR K & MULTI - RESOLUTION ANALYSIS

In a conte nt - based image retrieval system , the image features that effectively represent the image contents in a database. CBIR is the technique which uses visual contents to search images from large scale image databases acc ording to the user’s interest. In t he ter m content refers to shape, texture color, that can be derived from the image. In this paper an image retrieval technique us ing neural network ( NN) in MATLAB with the help of Wavelet transform and Gabor filter features is contemplated. In the proposed syste m, mean and standard deviation of the images are calculated later to the filtering process of the images using Gabor filter.
