PHILOSOPHY OF K. LEONTYEV AND GLOBALIZATION PROBLEMS

Globalization problems had been investigated and analyzed by K.N. Leontyev long before the modern studies were started. The philosopher considers the unification of intellectual and material culture of the western civilization to be a negative process, a process of a mixing simplification or secondary simplicity that leads to the decay, death and breakdown of its body. The process of global mixing, simplification and breakdown is opposed to the “esthetics of life” by the philosopher. As an alternative to the destroying course of history Leontyev sets forward “the guarding” principle of the state and religion, the strengthening of family values as “a minor church”, the principle of beauty in the art and the monk way of finding salvation
