Abstract
The article is devoted to analysis of genre peculiarities of Les Braban, a novel by Patrick Besson. Special attention is given to genre deconstruction of family romance, features of plot and contexture of the opus chosen. The work of Patrick Besson, understudied in Russian literary studies, causes the urgent character of research.
