Identi?cation of Reading Dif?culties among Eighth Standard Students

Abstract
The reading skill is the most important skill in the academic career. The reading skill is must for higher education as a school dropout may continue his/her studies on the basis of his reading skills. It is a vital skill in the teaching learning process. This reading is also used for different purposes everyday life. The investigator selected 106 students from seven schools of Ferozepur District in Punjab and recorded their reading ability. According to their reading abilities they were categorized into bright and dull students of reading ability. From this, 56.46% ofstudents possessed greater reading difficulties, 43.54% students possessed lesser reading difficulties, 60.43% boys possessed reading difficulties and 52.54% girls possessed reading difficulties.
