Abstract
In this paper, A novel process based on inverse piezoelectric effect was developed in this study, and conducted an experimental investigation to optimize the machining parameters using grey relational analysis. Through the experimental study according to an L9 orthogonal array based on Taguchi experimental design method. The analysis of variance (ANOVA) was conducted to examine the significant machining parameters which crucially affected the multiple performance characteristics. In addition, the optimal combination levels of machining parameters were also determined according to the grey relational grades for each level of machining parameters. Experimental results have shown that machining performance in this new EDM process can be improved through this study.
