Abstract
Purpose. The aim of this work is to improve the safety of construction sites by reducing fire hazard of building materials and structures. Methodology. Based on the analysis of existing methods of fire protection of building structures to identify the most promising direction to improve the security of the facilities and to develop effective coverage, which ensures the safe operation of buildings and structures, safety evacuation in case of fire hazard by increasing the fire resistance of structures and reduce the Flammability of the materials used. Findings. Our analysis showed that in Western Europe in countries such as: UK, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, USA, etc., considerable attention is paid to scientific work in the field of safety of buildings and structures by reducing the combustibility of materials, and improving fire resistance of building structures as a result of the application of effective fire retardant compositions. When this work is carried out in two directions: the development of flame retardant compositions based on mineral oil and the development of flame retardant compositions based on organic basis. Scientific novelty and practical significance. The analysis of fire risk sites and improve safety by reducing the combustibility and increase the fire resistance of structures. Based on the analysis and experimental studies conducted selection and justification of components, developed effective coating, which ensures the safe operation of buildings and structures, safety evacuation in case of fire hazard by increasing the fire resistance of structures and reduce the Flammability of the materials used.
