Abstract

The numerical schemes of ecological risk assessment problem together with its solving methodology for point source, group of point sources and areal sources of air contaminants emissions are developed. However, the solving assessment problem methodology for an orthogonal areal emissions source with the wind running perpendicularly to one of its sides has not been designed yet. This article deals with the problem of its elaboration. The survey methodology is based upon numerical schemes of corresponding orthogonal areal emissions source and solving methodology for ecological risk assessment problem, according to the current method OND-86. The analysis category is specified as elaboration of a solving method for ecological risk assessment problem for a respective areal source. Findings. The material analysis revealed that the difference between ecological risk assessment problems for different sources is the following: they produce different characteristics of random values distribution density for pollutant emissions concentrations, which, therefore, describe concentrations random values in the given point A of the area. Consequently, the considered methodology differs from already given methods for a point source and group of point sources by means of stated densities determination. Numerical characteristics of scalar random concentration patterns for certain pollutants together with their uniform distribution density in the point A; numerical characteristics of vectorial random concentrations field for all pollutants and their multivariate density in the point A; fragmentary and total ecological risks correspondingly to these densities can all be determined by the developed method. The regarded method consists of six stages: Stage 1. Source data base; Stage 2. Mathematical expectations determination of maximal pollutants concentrations emitted by a conventional pollutants point source; Stage 3. Mathematical expectations determination of pollutants concentrations emitted by the point A of an areal pollutants source; Stage 4. Determination of pollutant concentrations mean-square deviations and correlation parameters between them; Stage 5. Determination of fragmentary and total ecological risks in the point A; Stage 6. Calculation date base. Algorithmic approach to a new scientific problem of theoretic ecological risk assessment for a human upon conditions of accident-free operation of air pollutants orthogonal areal emissions source. The developed algorithm is recommended to apply in projects of enterprise building (reconstruction) aiming at high reliability of air quality assurance according to a maximum limit allowed criterion.
