Abstract

The article uses basic principles of literary analysis for studying prose and verses (some of them are being analyzed for the very first time) of modern Ukrainian writers where the topic of Maidan and Revolution of Dignity is touched upon. The aim of the analysis in question is focusing on the positions of the authors and their understanding of the undertows of Maidan, its triggers and its igniting ideology. Much attention is drawn to the fact what nation-forming and society-forming function is performed by Maidan in the process of establishing Ukraine as an independent European country. Different artistic approaches to depicting definite events and characters are pointed out which allows the readers to evaluate the aesthetic importance of the selected works, to underline certain traits of the authors' individuality. The results of this investigation can be used for preparing and delivering specialized subjects and tutorials for students studying Humanities as well as for arranging different educational event dedicated to the formation of national patriotic outlook in young people.
