A study of the structure and dynamics of differentiation of social and economic development of Ukraine based on a cluster analysis

This paper will present summary of previous research of differentiation of socio-economic development of Ukraine's regions using cluster analysis and describe the methodology that can be used for this task. The objects of observation are regions of Ukraine. The indicators were selected so that the set of indicators covering the main areas of socio-economic development. For reducing the number of input data is used factor analysis. For the calculation of the clusters the Ward technique is used. The cluster analysis identifies 5 clusters.
