Abstract

This article is about the contribution of M. Lozinsky to the translations of Lope de Vega's pieces. The article is about three most popular Lope de Vega's plays ? “Fuente Ovejuna”, “The dog in the manger” and “The widow from Valencia”. It describes the lexical, grammatical and stylistic peculiarities. In the XIX?XX centuries changes the interpretation of the concept “translation”: from mechanical transference of separate text elements to the ex- pression of the idea and the artistic unity. In the translations appears Lope de Vega's plays stylistic features: comparisons, metaphors, play on words, contrasting and also idiomatic ex- pressions functioning in the plays
