Abstract

We report a 30 year old lady with primary idiopathic hypoparathyroidism who presented with status epilepticus with history of seizures since 17 years of age. She had no extra pyramidal features. CT brain revealed extensive intracranial calcification. Her serum calcium was low, phosphorus was increased and PTH level was abnormally low. Following treatment with calcium and vitamin D, the seizures were controlled and she showed clinical as well as laboratory improvements.
